WHAT IS THE ‘ETC’ FOR?

I am an illustrator by trade, but I have so many interests and there are a few other strings to my bow.

‘etc’ basically means ‘and the rest’, so I do illustration and a bunch of other stuff! It covers a host of other creative activities that can be difficult to define. I am a live illustrator, creating illustrations in real time at in-person and online events, I can do talks and public speaking, tailor creative workshops for all ages, make prints from real collected, pressed seaweed or paint a mural or two.

WORK AND VALUES

I am a professional enthusiast, so if you’re excited about a project then I probably will be too. I’m also focussed on reducing impact on our climate and environment.

Telling stories is at the heart of what I do. I like making connections with people and finding out what tale they want to tell, regardless of whether they are looking to create a book, a map, or another creative project. My hand-drawn approach lends the finished work an informal and expressive appeal that hopefully communicates something joyful.

From many years of running this business, I have been keen from the start that ethical choices and sustainability are at the forefront of my decisions. All the products in my online shop are made in the UK, most are printed using eco-friendly processes, vegetable inks and packaged in compostable and recyclable packaging. Trying to do my tiny wee bit.
